Two to four hours in summer, four to six in winter. We run fans and check before we leave. Carpet that takes a full day to dry means too much water went in and not enough came out.
The industry standard caps a room at 225 to 300 square feet and bills halls, stairs, and closets separately. That is how a three room special becomes six areas at the door. We count a room as a room.
